HASWA Intergenerational Connecting Communities Project celebrated Christmas at the HASWA centre on the 17th December 2014. 70 people attended and the party started at 12pm. Everybody joined in to play Antakshari (Indian singing game) and our guest Councillor Alex Donald got everybody to sing Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer! Mr Sansar Singh Narwal, Hon. Secretary held a minute’s silence for those who died in the terrorist attacks in Sydney, Australia and at the school in Pakistan. He said that everybody should respect and enjoy each other’s faith and culture as Havering is a very diverse borough and wished everybody a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Everybody enjoyed the traditional Christmas lunch or the vegetarian option and waited eagerly for the raffle draw! Thank you to all our staff, volunteers, members and guests for making this Christmas party very enjoyable.
